Our History
Chris Edwards and Luca Sciullo founded Zeds Books while attending the University of Virginia as undergraduates. These two entrepreneurs took a step closer to realizing their dreams of becoming business owners and started their own small business in April 2002. Starting from scratch, Chris and Luca sought out rare books from Estate Sales, Yard Sales and the occasional bookstore. After 14 years of operation, Zeds Books is still going strong. The latest step for Zeds Books is an expansion to selling on abe.com.
About Chris
Chris graduated from UVA in May 2003 with a degree in Chemical Engineering. Chris enjoys reading, running, hiking and playing volleyball and basketball. And most of all, enjoying newly married life!
About Luca
Luca graduated from UVA in May 2003 with a major in Mathematics and a Minor in Economics. Luca enjoys playing volleyball and basketball and spending time with his wife, and children.
Our Goals
Our Goals are seeking out rare books and offering them to you, our customer. We are constantly in search of rare titles that we can present to our many satisfied customers. We also strive for 100% satisfaction on all transactions. We will never intentionally misrepresent a product. Should we make an honest mistake, we will certainly admit to it and do everything possible to positively resolve the issue. That being said, if you are not completely satisfied with a product, please feel free to return it for a full refund. No questions asked.
Our Policies
If you are interested in any of the books listed on our site, please feel free to contact us regarding the title. If our price is too high we may be able to work something out. We ship every Monday and Thursday. Please allow about a week for your item to reach you. We offer shipping insurance to protect from loss or damage. Shipping insurance is highly encouraged as we are not responsible for uninsured items lost or damaged in the mail.
